Pigtail SC/UPC 12 colors OM3 0.9mm OFNR 3M, semi tight

SC/UPC Fiber Pigtail (12 Colors, OM3, 0.9mm OFNR, 3M, Semi-Tight) from Red Cable Technology (RCT) — a 3-meter OM3 multimode pigtail for fusion or mechanical splicing terminations, in a 0.9mm OFNR semi-tight construction. ## About OM3 fiber

OM3 has a suggested jacket color of aqua. Like OM2, its core size is 50µm, but the cable is optimized for laser-based equipment using fewer modes of light — capable of 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 300 meters. Improved production techniques enable 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 meters, though 10 Gigabit Ethernet remains its most common use.

Newer deployments often use laser-optimized 50/125 µm multimode fiber (OM3), with enough bandwidth to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 300 meters — and refined manufacturing has produced cables supporting 10 GbE up to 400 meters. Laser-optimized multimode fiber (LOMMF) is designed for use with 850 nm VCSELs.
