Pigtail SC/UPC 06 Colors OM4 0.9 mm OFNR 3M, Semitight from Red Cable Technology (RCT) is a 6-color pigtail set on laser-optimized OM4 50 µm multi-mode fiber, for terminating fiber optic cables through fusion or mechanical splicing. Each leg runs 3 meters of 0.9 mm OFNR fiber into an SC/UPC connector — a quality pigtail plus correct fusion splicing delivers the best termination performance possible.
Features & Specs:
- 6 color-coded SC/UPC pigtails; OM4’s suggested jacket color is aqua; a further improvement on OM3 on the same 50 µm core — 10 GbE to 550 meters, 100 GbE to 150 meters; LOMMF is designed for 850 nm VCSELs
- SC: snap-in connector with 2.5 mm ferrule like the ST — simple, rugged, low cost; push-on/pull-off; known for excellent performance
- UPC: polished with no angle (slight curvature for better core alignment); UPC blue, APC green
- 0.9 mm buffered fiber, OFNR jacket, 3 m, strippable (semitight) buffer: gap not visible under 100 power magnification, no loose powder/liquid, 10 cm strips with one circular cut
- For ODFs, fiber terminal boxes, and distribution boxes
